I Finally Styled My Puma Speedcats — This Is My New Favorite Color Combo
Sometimes it’s the unexpected combinations that remind us why style can be joyful.
There are certain outfits that come together without overthinking, and that was this one.
I wore this look to my friend Nia’s baby shower—she’s having a baby girl, and the theme was “Cuties” (yes, as in the mini tangerines—how cuteeee?). I leaned into the pink (maybe a tad cliché for a girl’s shower, but I couldn’t resist), and it ended up being one of those looks I felt super great in.
After the shower, my friend Kimberly and I popped over to Whole Foods so I could grab a berry chantilly cake slice for my mom. And naturally, it ended up being a photo shoot. Kimberly and I are both content girlies, so you know it’s a photoshoot every time we meet up!

The color palette of this outfit is one I’ve been loving lately: pink, white, olive, and brown, with pops of multicolor from my jewelry. I always need pops of color in my outfits.
The details:
The pink-and-white striped poplin shirt is one of my forever faves from Sézane (they make the BEST shirts). It’s light, a beautiful shade of pink, and the cut is so flattering. I always feel put-together when I wear it.
My wide-leg jeans are from Citizens of Humanity. They’re super comfortable with just the right amount of stretch. I love that they work with sneakers or my go-to kitten heels.
The necklace is one of my faves that I “stole” from my mom’s closet. It’s a long strand of multicolored buttons. I wrapped it twice so it would sit closer to my neck and give it just enough dramatic effect without going overboard.

My Puma Speedcat sneakers are one of my favorite pairs right now. The silhouette is so good—slim and chic—and this brown-and-cream colorway goes with almost anything. I’ve got my eye on the red pair next.
And my bag of the summer—this straw bag of perfection from Sézane with genuine leather straps. It’s beautifully made and fits my MacBook Air, which is a win because even in the summer, a girl’s got to work. I love the contrast it gives against the pink and white.
I tagged my full look here.
I was also on day three of my blowout from Glamsquad—an app I’ve been obsessed with lately. I book the appointment right from the app, and my favorite stylist on the platform, Toy, comes to my home with all of her hair tools and products. She always gets my hair right, and I love that I can get it done without having to leave the house.

Lately, I’ve been thinking more about how color plays into how I feel in my clothes. It’s a huge part of my style identity. Last year, I had just given birth, so my summer style skewed toward neutrals—lots of white, beige, and the occasional black. But this year, I’ve been craving the color stories that I love.
Style, for me, always comes back to how I want to feel moving through the world.
What color palettes are you loving for summer? I’m feeling inspired to play with more unexpected mixes.
