Motherhood Transforms You, But Your Style Is Still Yours
Just because you're a mom doesn't mean you can't have style.
One of my biggest fears when I found out I was pregnant and going to become a mom was losing myself. I’d seen countless times moms sharing their frustrations with taking years to feel somewhat like themselves again—many even revealing that they lost their sense of style. It made me think about how, as a childfree woman, I didn’t have enough empathy to fully understand how motherhood could completely undo years of building a wardrobe and curating personal style.
I get it now.
Life comes at you fast—one day, you’re taking pics in your favorite jeans that give off an effortlessly chic vibe, and the next, you’re knee-deep in burp cloths, wondering if yoga pants and stained oversized t-shirts are your life now. Somewhere in the blur of bottles and bedtime routines, your style takes a backseat.

Over the past nine months, I’ve pushed myself to get dressed because getting dressed is the one thing that I am super confident about. I never listen to the outside noise or trends—I get dressed according to what I genuinely am attracted to, and I want to help you do the same.
Rediscovering your style after becoming a mom is necessary. It’s a reminder that you’re still you. You might be a different version of yourself, but at your core, you’re still you.

But first, let’s address the elephant in the room: the ridiculous expectation that moms either need to “snap back” or transform into a whole new person overnight. Your body has been through some serious (and amazing) stuff, and your life has shifted in ways you never imagined. Style isn’t about the size of your jeans or what the internet and society think a mom “should” look like. It’s about what makes you feel good. Period.

Shut Down the Mom Guilt
So many moms feel what’s called mom guilt. You know, the voice that says, “You shouldn’t spend money on yourself when the baby needs more onesies.” Or, “Why are you trying to look cute when you haven’t even folded the laundry?” Let me tell you something: buying that jacket you added to cart? It’s self-care. Dressing up, even if it’s just for a Target run, is an act of rebellion against the idea that moms should fade in the background.

Don’t Save Your Clothes for “Special Occassions”
Another game-changer? I stopped saving my favorite clothes for “special occasions.” Life as a mom is messy, sure, but that doesn’t mean you’re doomed to an existence of oversized tees and stretchy pants. What’s the point of having clothes you love if you’re too scared to wear them?
Meet Yourself Where You Are
Rediscovering your style is also about meeting yourself where you are. Maybe your pre-baby wardrobe doesn’t quite fit the same—or at all. That’s okay. Instead of trying to squeeze into the past, lean into what feels right now.

Accessorize
If you don’t feel comfortable in your body right now, accessories are a sure way to elevate any outfit. Earrings, bags, shoes—these are the pieces that bring your personality back to the forefront, no matter the kind of day you’re having. Plus, they’re one-size-fits-all, which is a blessing when everything else feels like it needs tailoring.
But above all, give yourself grace. This is very much a journey. I’m still figuring out my postpartum style. What matters is that you’re showing up for yourself, even in the smallest ways.
Motherhood changes you, but it doesn’t erase you.

🥺 I love this. As a SAHM and a Work from home mom, I make an effort to be cute whenever i get the chance to leave the house but i need to make more of an effort to get cute even when I don’t leave the house 😅
