Effortless Chic Is the Only Spring Vibe I’m Channeling Right Now
This spring, I’m all about looking put-together with minimal effort—think sharp tailoring, breezy layers, and a hint of drama.
For the past year, my style has been evolving—not in a drastic way, but in a way that reflects where I am in life right now. Before having a baby, I leaned into bold, eclectic pieces. Chunky rings on every finger? That was my thing. These days, I’m mostly just wearing my wedding band and, on a good day, a stack of bangles (bonus: built-in toy for Noka) and statement earrings instead. I still love mixing colors, patterns, and textures, but in a more muted, effortless way.

This spring, I’m all about structured pieces that make getting dressed easy but still feel intentional. I want to look polished without trying too hard—think breezy yet structured silhouettes, crisp button-ups, and well-tailored trousers. One of my favorite new additions is a cropped trench from Sézane—it’s chic, has elongated sleeves for a dramatic touch, and instantly elevates anything I wear. I’m also stepping up my shoe game with more pointed kitten heels (because you can never have enough) and bold mules because even as a mom, I refuse to sacrifice style for comfort.
For the past five years, I’ve been shifting my focus to shopping less and buying better. I’m starting by shopping my own closet to rediscover pieces I haven’t worn in a while and giving them a refresh. When I do shop, I’m prioritizing quality of quantity—Sézane, COS, and thrift stores are at the top of my list. I love brands that create timeless, well-made pieces, and I’m avoiding fast fashion as much as possible.
Color-wise, I’m gravitating toward butter yellow, sage green, crisp whites, and neutrals, with a hint of stripes and soft blues. My fabric choices are light linen, cotton, and breezy knits, perfect for layering—because while Atlanta is already heating up, a light jacket is always a good idea. And speaking of layers, I’m bringing silk scarves back into my rotation (in my never-ending quest to be Parisian).
If you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe for spring, start with what you already own. Clean out your closet, rediscover forgotten gems, and build a wardrobe around key staples—a crisp white button-up, well-fitted trousers, and a great pair of loafers or mules. Once you have your foundation, you can mix, match, and have fun with it.
What’s your approach to spring dressing this year? Are you leaning into color, investing in staples, or rediscovering pieces from your closet?

I'm pretty envious you're starting to have some warmer weather in Atlanta -- I'm in Paris and it feels like the never ending winter! I liked reading your approach to shopping by colors, I've never really thought of shopping in that way. I'm mostly trying to rediscover pieces in my own closet this spring, and having had a baby about a year ago I'm realizing there's some pieces that don't feel "me" now but others I'm thinking of styling in new ways that I'm feeling excited about too
